Forma House built this landed home around board-formed concrete left exposed rather than clad, a decision founder Isabelle Chen says set the tone before a single interior finish was chosen. Timber and glass were treated with the same restraint, left largely as they are rather than dressed up.

The result reads more like an extension of the original structure than a renovation layered over it. Chen says that was deliberate: the house's two construction eras, decades apart, are visible rather than smoothed into a single uniform finish.
