Forma House
A studio obsessed with materiality — concrete, plaster and stone treated with restraint.
Singapore · Singapore · est. 2012

Forma House opened in 2012 with a working method that has barely changed since: every project starts with a table of raw material samples rather than a mood board or a rendered image. Founder Isabelle Chen says the studio would rather show a client an actual slab of travertine or a test patch of lime plaster than a picture of what either might look like.
That material-first approach has produced a body of work centered on concrete, plaster and stone, often left closer to their raw state than a typical renovation would allow. Senior designer Aravind Kumar, who joined in 2018, now leads several of the studio's residential commissions.
