Inside a Workplace Designed More Like a Boutique Hotel

Common Ground Studio designed this coworking space to trade the usual exposed-brick, standing-desk formula for something closer to a boutique hotel lobby: upholstered banquettes, walnut reception furniture and lighting pitched low enough that first-time visitors regularly mistake the entrance for a hotel check-in.

Founder Priya Sharma says the hospitality logic extends past the furniture into how the space is staffed and run, down to naming meeting rooms rather than numbering them and running proper espresso rather than instant coffee in the pantry.
