Priya Sharma started Common Ground Studio in 2017 to bring residential warmth into commercial spaces, arguing that offices, cafés and coworking spaces had settled for a colder, more institutional design language than they needed to. The studio now works across workplace and hospitality projects, often blurring the line between the two.
Principal designer Wei Jie Lim, who joined shortly after the studio opened, leads much of the food and beverage work, while Sharma continues to oversee the larger workplace commissions the studio is best known for.
